  • Gary Foster

Gary Foster grew up among cattle, cattlemen and cowboys. Born in 1943, as soon as he was old enough to walk he was “out among them,” learning to work in the pens, drive tractors, ride horses and process cattle.

Gary never met a stranger, he is a gifted and eloquent conversationalist and an outstanding (and often hilarious) storyteller. Gary graduated from the University of Arizona in 1966 with a degree in Animal Husbandry and with a wife. He had married his high-school sweetheart while in college. Upon graduation he began helping his father at the feedyard, eventually helping to run it, a capacity he still fulfills in partnership with his brother Rod.

Gary and his wife have three children, Brian, Stacy and Joanne.

  • Rod Foster

Rod Foster, born in 1950, also grew up in the cattle business. Although somewhat more reserved than his brother, Gary, he quickly warms to a conversation is well informed and very articulate about a wide range of subjects

Rod attended the University of Arizona, graduating with a degree in Agricultural Economics, and worked for some time in Texas before returning to the family cattle-feeding operation. Rod and his wife, Cheryl, have three children: Darcy, Celeste and Ross.

The cattle industry has changed dramatically since the days these two brothers took over the operation of the family business, but working together they have kept it at the forefront of the cattle feeding industry.
